My first question is, How will this work online. If I'm hosting a truck race, what's to stop guys from joining my server and driving in Cup cars ? This was a problem with the Nascar heat truck mod. I hope the wildfire guys have this figured out. My guess is the patch will open the physics, somewhat like the openess of the F1 2kx line. If that possible then a virtually unlimited number of mods may appear. However, at this time I've only seen the 4 basic different body styles. While this won't be a problem for the CTS trucks or even certain Aussie series with only two car makes, it does limit the mod to non sportscar series which have any number of different body and physics combos. We'll just have to wait and see. dave henrie
WOOOHOOOO...not only do I love the trucks..(the only reason Heat is still on my machine..)..but they actually will have Milwaukee...(an ugly track...but its home..)..can't wait!!! Get that damn patch out!!!! Kevin (aka tlgtr) **** "A GOOD friend will come bail you out of jail... but, a TRUE friend will be sitting next to you saying, "Damn we screwed up!!!!."

NR2003 kinda works like the major FPS platforms in that "mods" are possible and protected. You can't race with a modified track .trk, per example. Same applies for the physics. The cars, the way they appear, it's just graphical appearance. Wouldn't change a thing if they look like a truck or a bike or a car. The real stuff happening is the physics engine. -- -- Franois Mnard <ymenard> -- http://ymenard.cjb.net/ -- This announcement is brought to you by the Shimago-Dominguez Corporation - helping America into the New World...

Thanks, that makes sense :) Now wouldn't it be cool if the online race menu at Sierra had some method of indicating which mod the server the hosting. Or am I just getting greedy? <g>
