News of a man dying after a long gaming session
A report of a South Korean man dying after a marathon gaming session prompted jokes about which sim he was playing. Others noted the less sensational report of 17 hours of play and questioned the story's cause and effect.

First off, never believe everything you read or hear.
Second, these two sentences are quite different--
"A South Korean man died after a marathon session playing computer games."
"A South Korean man died because of a marathon session playing computer
games."
Since the statement that you reported was the first one, then I'm not
greatly surprised. When you die, you had to have been doing something
before your demise. This guy just happened to be playing computer games.
That is no different than--
"I young Turk dies after drinking a cup of coffee."
For some reason, most might assume that because one event follows the other
that there must be a cause-effect relationship. Obviously, this is not
always the case.

I suppose doing anything non-stop for 86 hours without food or sleep will
kill you... I wonder what game he was playing though.

http://www.avault.com/news/displaynews.asp?story=3102000-134215 . It states that the
man played for 17 hours, not 86 hours non-stop. Still a heck of a lot, but now within
human tolerance. Interestingly enough, when I tried to check that story's quoted
source (the South China Morning Times newspaper - http://www.scmp.com/) I couldn't
find any reference to it in their archives. Hmmmm...

I good lesson here. Remember to take potty breaks. I wonder if he died
before or after he used the toilet.

Who knows, he probably had some other sort of ailment as well, but sounds
more interesting by saying "Man dies after playing computer games". I've
heard of people kicking off during sex. It wasn't the sex per se that killed
them but the strenuos activity that he/she wasn't allowed due to some other
ailment... who knows. It's a very rare occurrence anyhow.

explanation would be simple:
some people don't know hot coffee is .. hot
so, they should have a message on your computer game:
'remember to sleep and eet once in a while'
some people should have this printed on their head I guess
