Is it possible to disable auto-blip when downshifting in GPL? I broke a
spring in my RS Shifter so I'm stuck using the wheel buttons to shift for
the time being. But now GPL is auto-blipping for me during downshift even
with the Act-Labs Shifter utility running. The auto-blip is disrupting my
flow and make me feel like I'm playing F1-2002. Thanks for your help.

If i remember correctily, you have to disable auto-clutch.

Yes, manual de-clutching should disable the downshift blip.

There's nothing in
the menus and I don't see anything about auto-clutch in player.ini or
core.ini...

Its just in the driver aids along with auto gears and braking help.

I think if you run the GPShift utility (JSJ's, I think its called)
that actually patches GPL, the autoblip is removed by default. You
may even be able to control it via an INI file - the latest shift
patch has all sorts of options for changing FOV and multiple angles of
head-turn that I haven't even tried. Don't have the URL - post if you
can't find it.

or
In the GPL "Sound & Gameplay" options screen, there are three driver aid
options:
Automatic Shifting
Braking Help
Throttle Help
There is no auto clutch option in the menus.
The option is also not in the core.ini, app.ini, or player.ini, and it's not
mentioned in the manual either, which mentions quite a few other features
that never made the final release.
So where is it? I thought it needed a hack to enable a manual clutch.

No 'auto clutch' option in my copy, just 'braking help' and 'auto
shifting'.

Have no idea how it'll work without a shifter, but once you've gotten
rid of the auto-blip anything else just feels like cheating... :-)
