I'm in Battle Creek, MI, about an hour and a half from MIS (except on race
day, when it goes up to about three hours if you're at all worried about
your fenders ;-).  Mainly, I follow NASCAR, but I'll watch just about any
kind of motorsports--I watched the Trans-Am series religiously when it was
on TNN last year, but they don't seem to be showing every race this year,
so...

Coverage of US motor sport is very good now.  We have _all_ the CART events
live and also _most_ of the NASCAR races this season.  Since the same
channel (Eurosport) covers both, CART gets priority in the event of a clash.
The only time we miss out is due to rain delay and then generally we don't
get to see the race at all.  All F1 races are also covered live of course.

As Peter said, us UK folk are into all forms of racing!!

Mike.

>> Hell, some of us even like Nascar & Indy Car

>Hi,
>    Is the racing coverage from North America any good over in the UK?
>They showed the CART race twice here in Canada!  Once with the ESPN
>commentary on TSN and again with ABC commentary late night on CBC.  I
>watched both! (I wanted to hear Danny Sullivan's reaction to Greg Moore's
>incredible pass with 5 laps to go! Greg Moore can sure control the car
>well in those types of situations!).  F1 coverage is also good here, I'am
>looking forward to Monaco, I hope it equalizes the cars a lot more!

Most?? I'd say a few! The biggest complain I have with Eurosport is the
dismal
information about scheduling you get. If a NASCAR event is rained out,
don't
expect them to update their VideoText in time, so you don't miss the
rerun...

Ok here is my official r.a.s. answer to this thread ;-), sorry for taking
time I was out in Duty in the Northern Canada (Where there is still snow,
yes).

I am from Montreal, Quebec.  Home of the winniest professional sports team
in North America, the Mecca of Hockey, the biggest inclined tower in the
world (no it's not in Pisa), home of the biggest Jazz festival in the world
and home of the biggest comedy festival in the world.

And I forgot there is something called a F1 track here ;-)   Check out my
weekend recap directly from the stands there on June 5-6-7.

Great city, it's a mixture of American and European civilization, and NO, we
don't live in huts, hunting and exchanging furs for *** <g> Fourth
biggest city in North America.

Btw, I checked out the Players challenge, but I couldn't bring my setup OR
change the wheel setting (neither take off the Fxx aids). So I didn't raced,
for me anybody could be fast.  But I agree I would give anything to get a
piece of those Hyperstimulators ;-)

Silly Americans!!! (Dave & Ed):
You were meant to edit the Subject line of the message, and after the
"from?", you were meant to put where YOU were from (Re: Where are r.a.s.

Why is it everyone else in the world had no problems figuring this out, but
TWO Americans did?? :o))
