I bet you're making the Sports *** Network proud by bashing people almost
daily on several newsgroups.

Well, the links _are_ pretty much empty...

Didn't know vapourware could qualify for an .org  :)

I totally agree that they are empty links and that it is basically spam.
The only difference is that I wouldn't put my company name on my posts while
I publically belittle people every single day.

And I'm surprised SGN don't have some kind of issue with that. It's not
the best way to impress potential advertisers.

Well, the constantly advertising of an empty site, with topics like
'I'VE FOUND A GREAT SITE!' and reposting this message 6 times a day,
is getting quite annoying after a while and deserves some bashing....

Sure... but what it doesn't need is a "professional", who is in his sig
potentially representing his organisation, doing it as it doesn't reflect
well on the website.

one NEVER represents one's organisation on Usenet.  not even potentially.

Hello...look back a few posts at the "Found a great site" post...and then
check back over the past few weeks for similar posts and then check out the
actual site.  What it tells me is that Joe actually reads posts in this
group and has a bit if a sense of humour.

Marc.

But we are on the Usenet, who is totally chaotic and that should be
irrelevant, IMHO.

Opinions expressed presently on the Usenet are those of ymenardT and not
those of TEN?

I feel a long an boring thread coming up.... let's drop this one. The
site sucks, Mr. Guus should stop advertising his 'great site' as he
calls it, until the site really contains some info.

The End.

True but in that case you either add the derigeur disclaimer OR you remove
the bit from your sig. I don't have the URL for my employer or any of my
other professional associations because I don't want it to be misconstrued
as me representing them.

It can happen.
