I was at the mall today so I popped my head into eb thinking I could smuggle
it past the wife. Wow they had 3 copies so I was impressed since when N4
came out it was a search for almost a week till I could find it. So I went
right over amazed at what seems to be the new trend in shrunken boxes for
software. Only to be stunned at the price. $69.00 Canadian!!!! I know other
sims are more money but I've never paid that and don't know if I could ever
justify it to the wife. I guess I'm stuck with N4 for the forseeable (sp?)
future. The rant is over.

Interesting indeed, I payed $49.99 USD just like I did for N4 when it came
out. Is the exchange rate that bad nowadays?

yes, I think it's around $.64 US for every Canadian dollar. It might even be
worse than that.......

Yes, either EB is ripping us off on the price or Sierra. My guess would
be
Sierra. It has been a trend on all theirs games lately. Sierra is owned by
the
french isn't it? They are used to ripping Canadians off.

Actually that's a pretty standard price for games in Canada now.  Unless
it's specifically targeted below that (ex: Ratbag), most of the games out in
a week go around 65-80$ CAN.

Yep, same price at Future Shop.  Just checked tonight.  Sierra is ripping us
off.  Even $50US for an upgrade is a little much.

Sierra is owned by the "rifle droppers"? And I agree, they do rip off
the Canadians...

Is that a reference to the "Plains of Abraham"? :-)

I don't buy any game over $64.99 and can find lots of good games way below
that even.
Only game that is $80.00 is that Castle Wolfenstien and that's because they
know every kid will be screaming at their parents to buy it. Fact is though,
MOH is the better game in that genre and I got that at Walmart for $54.00.
Prices haven't gone up at all, I remember paying $79.99 for Longbow1 years
ago at EB. I won't pay those prices anymore though. I'll just wait a few
months and get it in the bargain bin if I have too, unless I *really* want
it. I got F12001 when it first came out for a low $49.99 and don't see why
N2002 should cost anymore than that considering it's just an improved N4.

Wow, that's a rarity. Compu-ripoff is usually $10.00 more across the board.
Problem with new box size means a skimpy manual too.

Forgot to mention, there is a sticker on the box for a $5 rebate at Future
Shop.  That still probably an after tax $5.  Hardly worth the trouble.
Which Compucentre has it for $59.99?
